I know this is something that all moms struggle with, but for homeschooling moms it is a whole new struggle. I was just recently asked by a friend to help her begin on her homeschool journey. She is planning on this journey for the next school year. Her request for help, got me to thinking, Am I Good Enough at homeschooling to help her?
As I put my request for guidance to give her up to the Lord, He blessed me with all the right words of encouragement to bless her with and give her the confidence that she can answer his calling. I got to thinking after she left, about the fear I had about being good enough. I can't tell you how many times I told her that you just need to relax and let God have control. Boy, did I need to check into those words for myself. I struggle with being a list maker and completing the list. I struggle with patience when things are not going to the schedule I set in my head. As I told her to relax and just let things happen, because somehow it all gets done, do I need to take those words to heart.
I explained that no matter what you hear from other parents either homeschooling or non-homeschooling parents, know you are doing your best for you family. Do we all need to check into this reality a little from time to time, we need to accept that we are doing the best we can for our children and no one will do our job better. We were called to homeschool our children and by giving our homeschool to God we will definitely be doing everything right by our kids.
I know I needed to take to heart the words of encouragement that the Lord put on my heart for this new homeschooling mom and reapply them to my life each day. I know that I am doing enough for my kids by teaching them to live by God's word and be good examples of Christian's for others to look up to.
Please help me to remind all moms, especially homeschooling moms, that you are doing enough and you can't fail your kids, if you let God have control!!!
Have a Blessed Day!!

Our Homeschool Journey
I never thought I would be blogging especially about homeschooling. The Lord has led me to be obedient to his calling to homeschool.
We went ahead and sent our daughter to school till 3rd grade. My son was another story, after having his first year of school be home instruction, that I was mostly doing, my confidence was built up and I started to consider homeschooling.
We moved out to the country and my calling was strong by the Lord to homeschool. We decided to take this journey a week before school was due to start. I didn't know where to even begin, at least we are in New Jersey, which is apparently one of the easiest states to homeschool in. We survived the first year with a lot of prayers, forgiveness, and blog searching.
We are currently in our 3rd year and I am finally feeling confident in this ministry.
I believe that you have to understand first that the Lord is in control, as much as you make schedules and plans, which I love! Second you have to understand that what you are embarking on is a form of ministry that will affect many of your families generations to come. I have learned this all during this journey.
I will not ever again take so long to follow the Lord with his leadership. I love being able to learn new and exciting things with my kids each day.
Thank you, Heavenly Father!!
